Growth continues for EagleRidgeStore.com, with new departments, and increased profits. Crystal Sloan, EagleRidge Technologies, Inc., VP and Director of ECommerce Operations, reports, "Sales and profits are up. We just finished our best month so far (12/01), best quarter so far (4th qtr, 2001), and best year (2001)." Students in those classes are directed to use their ertin.com mirror sites for their class material until the upgrade is complete.

1/20/2001: Public Radio's Afropop Worldwide show débuts new web site: Afropop.org opened in alpha to the public this week, after months of work. Still a work in progress, the site will grow as editors transform the volumes of data gathered by Afropop staff over the years into usable database form. EagleRidge Technologies' Crystal Sloan provided Web, database, and management consulting every step of the way, aided by long-time associates Julie Broyles (database development), Maggie Farley (who translated the pages from artist's renderings into working HTML), and John.  The database, with nearly 200 tables, is designed to take the site far into the future. They want to be the online repository of information on the music of Africa and the African diaspora. 

Bliss Sloan receives Microsoft MVP award: EagleRidge Technologies is proud to announce that our VP, Crystal (Bliss) Sloan, has once again received the Microsoft MVP award from Microsoft for her online work helping programmers. This is the fifth year she has received this honor.

INCOSE 2000 Minneapolis: Professor  McCumber named "Fellow" of the International Council on Systems Engineering. 
This summer at the annual conference of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), EagleRidge Technologies president William H. McCumber, Ph.D., P.E., was elected to "Fellow" of INCOSE, the organization's highest honor.  Professor McCumber was cited "for contributions as a quintessential industrial leader, especially in the education and training of practicing systems engineers."
